Stihl BRA500 72v Cordless Backpack Blower BODY ONLY

The BRA500 is a battery-powered backpack leaf blower that has been designed with professionals in mind. Capable of taking on the toughest clearing jobs you may face during the working day, it's part of the AP System of battery tools and uses the power of 2 AP batteries for its 72 volt motor - resulting in an extremely powerful maximum blowing force of 32 newtons; the equivalent of the BR600 petrol professional backpack blower.

The BRA500 is ideal for the most demanding cleaning jobs, such as clearing large areas in parks, as well as in fields, paths, streets. It’s high blowing force means it can blow heavy and wet leaves, grass and hedge trimmings or rubbish with ease too. Like with all STIHL AP System tools, the BRA 500 has constant power output - meaning it maintains its high power output throughout the whole charge of the battery.

Whilst the backpack leaf blower has a weight of 14.5kg with two AP500S batteries inserted, it has excellent weight distribution. This is due to the positioning of the batteries and the motor which are snugly against the operators back. This design is much improved compared to the petrol backpack leaf blower design, where the engine is exterior to the fan wheel - this all results in a more comfortable experience for use over long working periods. The carrying system of the BRA500 is extremely comfortable to wear too thanks to the shoulder and weight padding (the same padding that is used on the BR800 petrol backpack leaf blower).

STIHL's innovative noise reduction system is built into the BRA500 too. This reduces the high frequency noises due to the low fan RPM and noise insulation on the leaf blower. It makes using the BRA500 around schools, parks or public spaces more pleasant for bystanders.

An aluminium tube at the base of the BRA500 means carrying the blower to and from the work vehicle is even easier. It also helps to increase the durability of the machine during transport. It also has a built-in electronic interface on the control handle which lets you control the speed of the leaf blower between Low, Mid, High and Boost modes. It also shows useful information such as the battery charge, the ability to switch to cruise control, check the connectivity and show basic diagnosis information. The BRA500 has STIHL Connected built into the machine.

Constant Power
When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.

LED Charge-Level Indicator
At the push of a button, the LED charge-level indicator will show the battery’s remaining capacity. This allows you to efficiently plan working hours and charge the battery in good time.

Cruise Control
You can lock the throttle at any preferred position, even between levels. This relieves the strain on your index finger during longer periods of continual use.

Ergonomic Carrying System
This high-quality, ergonomic carrying system offers a high level of comfort as you work. Its S-shaped shoulder straps and hip belt ensure a comfortable fit, improve weight distribution, and in this way support you during long periods of use in particular.

Blower Tube Holder
The clip lets you easily and securely attach the blower tube directly to the blower so you can effortlessly and easily transport it, without the tube getting in the way.

Quick Adjustment
The length of the blower tube can be adjusted quickly and easily for use in narrow work areas or corners. You can also open and close the fastening of the blower tube by turning the ring.

Noise Reduction System
This innovative technology significantly reduces the volume (sound power level) for residents and passers-by, meaning disruptive frequencies are minimised. Sound emissions are reduced at the turbine input in such a way that the leaf blower sounds quiet to surrounding people.

Power Boost
Power boost will allow for full blowing power, simply by adding extra pressure to the trigger lever.

Handle Positon Adjustment
The handle position can be quickly adjusted without tools to suit the operator.

Fleet Management
Thanks to STIHL connected, you always have an overview of your tool fleet and can automatically receive tool data such as age, operating hours, and maintenance status. This allows you to determine the ideal fleet size based on digital information, as it makes clear how the tool fleet is being used. The Smart Connector collects the required data and transfers it to a tool. All recorded tool data is available for viewing and evaluation in the STIHL connected App and the STIHL connected Portal.

IPX4 Certified
The AP batteries are IPX4 certified thanks to the encapsulated electronics and sealing of each individual cell. It means that the battery is protected against splashwater from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions.

Energy Recovery
When the throttle is released, energy is recovered and fed back into the battery - which extends the battery life during use.
