Petrol Air Compressors
Petrol air compressors are the best way to get portable air. We are often asked about running a compressor from a generator, which is possible. However, due to the amount of draw on start up of a compressor, it is a much better option to get a petrol air compressor. They generally have quite a high air output and are ideal for use mounted inside vans or service trucks. We supply a quality and competitive range of petrol driven air compressors from SIP and most of these are fitted with a Honda or Kohler engine for reliability.

Things to think about ...
Tank Size: The bigger the tank the more air you can store and the less your motor and pump will have to work. Make sure whatever you buy will fit in the place you want to keep it.
Engine Power: The bigger the motor, the quicker your compressor can build up air and the higher the level that air flow can be kept constant at.
Piston Displacement & Free Air Delivery (F.A.D): These are both measured in CFM, but piston displacement is the volume of air produced at the pump and the free air is the actual volume of air that the compressor will produce (F.A.D is usually around 25-30% lower than the piston displacement).
We recommend that you get heavy duty anti vibration mounts for static air compressors.
