The FSA140R is a powerful professional battery-powered brushcutter from STIHL. An upgrade of the FSA135R, this tool is part of the AP System and designed for professional users working landscaping and grounds maintenance. With an improved power-to-weight ratio and a brushless motor with 1.0kW mechanical power, it is capable of taking on the toughest mowing, clearing and scrub cutting jobs with ease. As the tool is battery-powered, it’s especially suited for work in noise sensitive areas such as at hospitals, schools and housing estates.

The FSA140R is fitted with a new style loop handle that has a quick-mounting system, meaning you can adjust the handle to your height for an ergonomic working position. This handle also makes tackling tasks on slopes, around trees or on uneven terrains even easier. The tool is fitted with a high-performance EC motor and an updated control handle with seperate switches for starting, selecting the speed level and a HMI module with LED display. The FSA140R can be set at 3 different speed levels depending on the type of work you are doing. Plus, there is an energy saving mode on the handle too for when your battery is low on energy.

A new compact motor unit with metal mesh filter provides improved cooling and long service life. It is also easy to clean and maintain. Plus, the FSA140R is IPX4 rated - meaning it can be used in all weather conditions. The FSA140R is supplied with a double shoulder harness and the AutoCut C26-2 blade as standard but can also be fitted with other STIHL cutting tools, such as the GrassCut, TrimCut, DuroCut, PolyCut, BrushCut and WoodCut cutting tools.

Power Boost
Thanks to intelligent electronics, STIHL power tools and batteries communicate with each other. If the device and battery are equipped with the POWER BOOST function, the battery always provides the maximum possible power for the respective application. In order to ensure optimum battery life, the device temporarily adjusts the power if it is used too intensively.

Constant Power
With other brands of battery tools, the performance usually decreases during work as the battery discharges. This is not the case with STIHL cordless power tools with CONSTANT POWER. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your STIHL power tool works with consistently high power.

Multi-Function Handle
Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your power tool to the respective work situation. Doing so reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and in this way extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.

Battery Compartment
With this power tool, you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP-System directly into the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.

Metal Mesh Air Filter
The air filter with fine metal mesh cleans the air and in this way ensures optimum engine cooling. As it is itself easy to clean, it also offers a long service life.

Loop Handle
The wraparound handle can be quickly and easily adjusted without tools for an ergonomic working position adapted to your height. In addition, the optimised geometry of the wraparound handle supports flexible working with plenty of freedom to manoeuvre and precise guidance of your power tool.

Automatic Tool Recognition
During operation the brushcutter recognises which cutting attachment is being used and then automatically adjusts the speed to deliver optimal performance in every application.

EC Motor
Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

IPX4 Certified
The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.

Smart Connector
The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool's operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.
