Stihl TSA500 72v Cordless Disc Cutter Cut Off Saw 350mm BODY ONLY

The TSA500 is a 14" (350mm) battery-powered cut-off machine in the STIHL AP System. Designed for professionals working in construction, hardscaping and pipework, it's an ideal choice for processing material such as steel, bricks, concrete, paving stone, natural stone, reinforced concrete and rebar. Part of the AP System of battery tools, the TSA500 uses the power of 2 AP batteries for its 72v motor for exceptional cutting performance.

The cut-off machine comes as standard with a powerful 14" / 350mm composite resin cutting wheel which has a very high cutting performance, however we recommend fitting the TSA500 with a D-SB90 diamond cutting wheel (sold separately)  for longer and more intensive jobs.

The TSA500 has cutting performance that is comparable to the TS500i petrol cut-off machine thanks to its impressive mechanical output of up to 4.2kW. It means you will have petrol grade performance with all the benefits of battery power, such as lower vibrations, no emissions and no idling between cuts. Making cuts with the TSA500 is made easier too thanks to the narrow cutting kerf, which is achieved thanks to the lack of engine vibrations. It increases precision when making cuts, for accurate results at all times, and allows a maximum cutting depth of 4.9" (125mm). The STIHL magnesium guard can also be adjusted, which improves working conditions and further reduces operator strain. The guard has an integrated water guide which removes dirt in a targeted manner and offers a good view of the cutting wheel during operation.

The TSA500 has excellent ergonomics and is easy to handle. It is well balanced thanks to the handle arrangement which, in combination with the battery and motor placement, leads to lower fatigue working. The built-in electronic interface on the control handle provides you with machine information such as charge status and which working mode you have selected (speed level 1 to 3). As the TSA500 is battery-powered, it has low noise emissions during cutting. It is fitted with a powerful EC motor which operates almost wear-free, is quiet and has smooth running and low vibrations. This allows the tool to operate at optimum performance throughout the entire battery charge. Fitted with a STIHL magnetic filter which passes cooling air through several magnets, protecting the internal components from metal dust and particles. These magnets can be easily removed for fast cleaning, ensuring a long-service life.

This tool is fitted with a fast-stop brake that recuperates energy into the battery. After releasing the trigger, the wheel is stationary in less than 4 seconds which loads the energy from the TSA500 back into the battery, which increases your working time. As the TSA500 is battery-powered and has zero emissions, it can also be used indoors.

The TSA500 must be used with the AP500S battery for maximum performance. If you use an AP200S or AP300S, there will be a reduction in performance. On a full charge with the AP500S, the TSA500 has a working time of 20- 40 minutes.

Power Boost
Thanks to intelligent electronics, STIHL power tools and batteries communicate with each other. If the device and battery are equipped with the POWER BOOST function, the battery always provides the maximum possible power for the respective application. In order to ensure optimum battery life, the device temporarily adjusts the power if it is used too intensively.

Constant Power
With other brands of battery tools, the performance usually decreases during work as the battery discharges. This is not the case with STIHL cordless power tools with CONSTANT POWER. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your STIHL power tool works with consistently high power.

Adjustable Stihl Magnesium Guard
The adjustable guard with integrated water guide protects against cuttings while working and directs dirt away. At the same time, this guard provides a good view of the cutting wheel for precise work. The cast magnesium guard makes the tool lightweight and robust.

Water Connection
For work with your power tool, this provides a permanent water supply to the cutting wheel. It is used to bind dust and cool the cut. The dosable water connection directly on the machine makes cutting with water easy and convenient.

Semi-Automatic Drive Belt Tensioning
Semi-automatic STIHL belt tensioning makes it easier for you to re-tension the drive belt. Consistent tension extends the service life of the belt and bearing. For more detailed information on re-tensioning, please refer to the operating instructions of your power tool.

Ergonomic Handle
The ergonomic handle not only ensures you have a firm grip on the power tool, it also enables you to make precise cuts and guide them along marked lines. The quiet running and low vibration of the machine allows you to make precise cuts comfortably.

Fast-Stop Brake
When you release the control lever on your cut-off machine, the cut-off wheel will brake automatically within a few seconds. In addition, the energy gained is fed back into the battery (recuperation), improving its operating time.

Stihl Magnetic Handle
Magnets in the cooling air flow intercept ferromagnetic particles from the air so that they do not reach the motor. This protects the motor and enables a long service life with consistently high performance. The filter can be easily removed, cleaned and reinstalled after work if required.

EC Motor
Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

IPX4 Certified
The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splash water from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.
